HIV / AIDS
I saw my first HIV patient in 1983. He was the first man to ever be diagnosed in Australia and guess what, 24 years later he is still alive.
We have come a long way since the dreadful panic days of the early 80s about this condition and there are many drug combinations that do keep people alive. However, many of these drugs have dreadful side effects and do not allow the sufferer to lead normal lives.
These terrible side effects (which become themselves a condition: such as peripheral neuropathy) can be improved and even dispensed with altogether. A combination of the HIV drugs and a vitamin/herb regime as well as sound nutritional habits allows my patients to live full lives; in fact some of them are healthier now than they have ever been and some are even healthier than the average citizen.
